Is your dog getting enough vitamins in their dog food to stay healthy?

by Deserving Pets on April 13, 2010

Magazines are filled with articles that tell us just how healthy vitamins and minerals are.  The big news nowadays is how the colored fruits and vegetables contain phytonutrients that perform amazing feats within the body — creating health— avoiding illness.

The compressed and heated food with a shelf life of years that your dog is eating simply does not have the nutrients needed to create health.  And lately, we’re seeing a lot more of certain diseases in both people and dogs.

Diabetes, cancer, allergies, arthritis…. The list goes on and on.

We all go to a lot of trouble for our dogs.  And we should,  because they’re our best friends!  We groom them, walk them and clean up after them. We play with them and pat them.  They’re there for us …… and we know it.  But the most important thing we can do for them is to give them a wholesome, nourishing diet- one that promotes and creates health. In today’s world that’s very important.  And no matter how much dog food companies tell you that  “ all your dog needs is in that bag,”  those kibbled and canned processed dog foods fall way short of the mark. That’s one main reason why we see so many sick dogs.   And one in three dogs get cancer.

Our best friends are quite simply, not getting the nutritional support they need to stay well and get well.  Lots of ways to provide your dog with nourishing and wholesome fare are discussed in my book Dr. Khalsa’s Natural Dog.  When you add a scoop of the powerfully healthy Deserving Pets Vitamins you have a complete picture of health.
